"Legend teaches us that Charity is the greatest of all the virtues; and that it should ever rule us in our hearts and in our lives, leading us to speak no unkind word, to harbor no evil thought, to bear no malice, to support no wrong; but to nurture, love and protect; to condone, forgive and forget."

Our youth needs not only guidance, mentorship and good role models, but also venues where they can safely engage in physical activities. It is our duty to see that Elks are involved and recognized by our townspeople as a committed benefactor of our youth.

Drug Awareness is involved with various local organizations, from the Municipal Alliance, East Windsor and Hightstown Townships, business organizations and clubs to provide healthy alternatives for our youth.

One of these initiatives, the Hightstown Skate Park is gaining momentum.

What is the Plan?
Matt Lucas, the owner of Lucas Electric on Mercer Street in Hightstown will be donating land for the skate park to the Borough of Hightstown.  The exact layout of the skate park has not yet been set.  Once the exact amount of land is determined, there will be town meetings to get input from our skaters, and then design the park to their liking.  The location is behind Lucas Electric off Route 33.  Entrance will be from the High School parking lot.

At present, the Skate Park committee is developing awareness and trying to obtain grants from Tony Hawk, Mercer County and others to help speed up the fund raising efforts.  But, ever penny counts, so please keep helping to reach our goal...and thank Matt Lucas if you see him.

Townspeople are getting involved and in September, Hightstown will be hosting its first Triathlon with all proceeds to go to the Skate Park. Here is some general information:
